Hospital Health Committee meets in ordinary session once a quarter and in extraordinary sessions whenever needed. It is convened at least one week before the meeting by the President or Vice-President in the absence of the former.

Hospital Health Committee
The Hospital Health Committee has been put in place by Ministry of Health. Nyagatare District Hospital committee's attributions are:
- Approve annual hospital action plan
- Approve engagement and Hospital staff sanctions on demand of management committee.
- Define Hospital general policies
- Approve Hospital general budget presented by management committee
- Approve and support financial report
- Support evaluation of staff and evaluate Hospital Director General
- Establish and elaborate staff salaries and allowances
- Resolve conflict,problems and other needs on request of management committte
